Caravan Park has a new name

Coconut Grove Caravan Park, Hervey Bay, QLD Site 382 in Parks 5, is now called The Bay Caravan Park. The new managers, Ellen and Mick, are excited for the new chapter in the park’s story, and have plans for renovations in the coming future. The park has mainly been home to permanent residents in the past, but Ellen describes 8 sites ready for visitors to enjoy.

Facilities are somewhat limited to showers and toilets, in addition to concrete slabs for caravans and a fob-operated security gate, but the prices are reasonable for its great location in the middle of Hervey Bay. The beach is only 1.5 km away and the park lies opposite the shopping centre.

There are many attractions located in Hervey bay, including; Wetside Water Park – a free water park for families to enjoy; cinema; The Esplanade – a 14 km stretch along the waters edge; Urangan Pier – one of the longest in Australia; Hervey Bay Historical Museum; and Reefworld Aquarium to name but a few.

Lastly, a trip worth spending on is a whale-watching adventure. Whale-watching season is mid-July to mid-November, so if you are passing through Hervey Bay, this is a must-see experience! Ellen and Mick will gladly share their knowledge of the area and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Find them on Facebook or contact 07 4128 2142 for more details.
