Don’t freak out – it is only 92 days until Christmas! Plus school holidays have come around again…
So, remember it is super easy to book via the CAMPS Australia Wide App (free to download for apple or android). Caravan parks, NSW national park campgrounds and many other sites are now bookable as well.
Our booking system is 100% Australian owned. Many travellers don’t realise their bookings are via overseas owned and run companies.
This means when you book with us, all revenue stays in Australia and you are backing our Aussie team.
In addition, we DO NOT charge any fees for farmers, councils, business owners or community groups to list their camp site or caravan park on our App and guides. So please let the campsite or park owner/manager know when you are visiting.
After being welcomed back to Queensland by mates camping at Rainbow Beach Holiday Village, we’re ready to share highlights from the road trip home!
Roadtrip revealed
Travelling via this route, we added more sites to the app, including new free camps. We spotted war history in Brocklesby, ate burgers at the Quinty Bakery, saw “The Blue Heeler” in Muswellbrook, and two waterfalls! Ahhhh, but that’s next week!
Although we’ve stopped at Rutherglen wineries, this was our first overnighter. Loved it! The Victoria Hotel, James and co. (pictured) and the delectable Grace Bar and Eatery are strolling distance from the caravan park…
As well as listing a new free camp in Kandos, NSW – I LOVED the op shopping! I have to share their massive jigsaw puzzle and board game shelf! Find Henbury Sport and Rec Club in the CAMPS App!
We caught up with another mate at the “Fountain on the Mountain” in Yamba, NSW – with superb views over the beach and ocean pool. We’ll definitely return here and to nearby Red Cliff Campground…
We’ve added Pioneer Park in Cootamundra as a free camp. This small site has history, toilets, BBQ and picnic tables and it is on a bushland reserve with lookouts and trails. Find it on the CAMPS App!
Finally a reminder that spring wildflowers are wonderful in WA. Thanks to Heatley’s sister for this photo from Cape Le Grande National Park, near Esperance, WA. Take your own wildflower trail… Please send in your pics!
By the way, happy anniversary to us! 29 years married Monday 23rd. And we are celebrating with a camping convoy and country races – we’ll let you know how it goes. Please say hi if you see us out and about.
