Meander Country Cabins & Vans is located in the heart of Tasmania, and surrounded by farmland and mountain ranges. It’s a short distance from Huntsman Lake and only 2 kilometres to the Meander River.

On offer is peace and seclusion, cabins and camping for 15 powered gravel sites and 7 unpowered sites with gravity fed non potable water. There are no amenities here and you’ll need to be fully self contained. There is a BBQ and camp kitchen/ TV area with a further 2 cabins currently being constructed which will be accessible for people with disabilities.

Generators are welcome during daylight hours. The park owners have their own coffee van and are often on the move to the Great Lake lookout where you’re welcome to come for a coffee and a chat.

If you forget something there’s a general store not too far away for basic needs. This is a handy base to explore all this region has to offer. Your host Luke is friendly and helpful – and we’ve heard he makes the best brownies!
