Deloraine RV Rest Stop, Tasmania has re-opened

Great news for when we can travel again!

To attract RV travellers back to the Meander Valley region in Tasmania, the Council have approved the re-opening of the RV Rest Stop off Racecourse Drive.  The first travellers have already arrived prior to the pandemic.  The area will cater to 20 self-contained vehicles and be permitted to stay for 4 days.

While the dump point had remained open, it’s a definite boost to see travellers able to access camping again in this very pretty region with so much to offer, such as views of the Great Western Tiers and Liffey Falls, one of Tasmania’s spectacularly beautiful waterfalls.

You can purchase your permits at the Great Western Tiers Visitor Information Centre in Emu Bay Road for $3 per night.  No tents or fires are allowed but your pooch is welcome on lead.

Deloraine is a delightful riverside village lined with Georgian and Victorian buildings, with excellent bakeries and cafes. Find this site on the Camps Australia Wide App
