New owners in 2018, Heatley and Michelle Gilmore continue on the tradition of twenty years worth of travel and research to provide Australia’s most comprehensive and easy to use guides with over 4000 free camps and budget campsites, 2300 caravan parks, that help you save money and travel further.
Heatley and Michelle took their family around Australia with CAMPS 7 a few years back – six of them in a six berth motorhome, making treasured family memories. Based on the Cooloola Coast in Queensland, they’re looking forward to more adventures in their caravan, and chatting to other travellers, and helping them create those memories too.
Michelle and Heatley are passionate about affordable travel around our country, about respecting our land, and leaving a campsite cleaner than you found it. They know that caravan parks play vital role for travellers too (especially if you only carry 140L for 2 adults and 4 kids!). Station stays, showgrounds, National Parks, state forests, parks, reserves and dump points are all included and updated every single day!
They have taken over the reins from previous owners, Philip and Cathryn Fennell who have retired after 12 years, 2 off road caravans, 2 4WD’s and driving over 900,000 kms, in a dream job – travelling this great country and actually calling it work, an ideal lifestyle!
Like Philip and Cathryn, new owners Michelle and Heatley love travelling Australia and sharing campfire happy hours, chatting to fellow travellers and marvelling at our unique wildlife, scenery and way of life on the road.
