If you find yourself travelling along the Great Eastern Highway, stop for lunch at Southern Cross, campers tell us the pies are de-lish!  If you need somewhere to camp then the little town of Bullfinch is just 30 km north on the Bullfinch Road where you’ll find a budget friendly as well as pet friendly campground.Â
Run by the progress association and local volunteers, it offers toilets, hot showers, drinking water and power hookups for only $15 per night.Â
You’ll need to call ahead and one of the friendly locals will come down and open up for you.Â

Catering to all types of camping RVs, caravans, campervans and big rigs – they do have concrete slabs but have asked if you could park alongside and not on the slabs as they are cracking over time.Â
This peaceful little stopover is perfect for wildflower viewing in season, visiting nearby Baladjie Rock and the Copperhead Gold Mine is definitely worth a look. Â
Thanks to the Bullfinch community for this little gem and Itinerant Ozzie for the pics!
