Maryborough, on the Fraser Coast of Queensland, really gets the thumbs up from us when it comes to free and budget camping options.
Doonvilla RV Park is run by the Doon Villa Football Club Inc. Next to Maryborough Airport, Qld. Don’t worry – we couldn’t even hear the planes when we were there, the larger airport is in nearby Hervey Bay.
It is great to be helping a local club for children! Here’s one of the comments from our Facebook page:

Pets allowed, it is for self contained vehicles only and $10 per site!

Enjoy the lovely big trees and open space nearby. There is a dump point onsite (on the right as you drive in, well away from the camping zone) and a takeaway shop is just metres away. Have you stayed here?
