Welcome Vikki & Locky our new CAMPS ambassadors!
They have been travelling around Oz since winter, with their doggo Leila. They are sharing some awesome destinations below – but how did they find them?
“We use your app and the camps 12 book while we travel. It’s our camping bible,” Vikki told us.
Vikki is a physiotherapist from Adelaide and Locky a machine operator from Brisbane, “We met in Mackay and lived there prior to leaving for our lap.”
Their working lap of Australia has them currently in the Northern Territory. We’re hoping our paths will cross on our winter road trip west! Here’s their tips so far…
Camp with the best view – Lake Rosebery, we had lake views from every window of the caravan.
Best beachside camp/caravan park – Swimcart Beach, Bay of Fires
Favourite caravan park – Ingenia One Mile Beach
Best national park so far – Cradle Mountain, so beautiful and iconic views
Best bakery/pie location – still searching for the best but have tried many along the way.
Your favourite type of camping – free camping in our caravan, preferably by a body of water.
Where are you from – Vikki is from Adelaide and Locky from Brisbane, but we met in Mackay and lived there prior to leaving for our lap.
State/Territory you are happy to be stuck in – New South Wales, so much to do along the coast.
Favourite pub on your travels – technically a brewery but Murray’s Craft Brewing Co in Port Stephens
Friendliest town – Richmond, Tasmania
Favourite waterfall – Russell Falls, Tasmania
