FREE Seaside Camp: Membinup Beach, Western Australia

by Overland Exposure Our CAMPS Ambassadors, Dan and Manda said Membinup Beach, WA is 100% WOW! Here’s what they said: 1hr East of Esperance Off-road set-ups only as the road is unpredictable and dirt. The entrance to the beach was tight, but our big rig fit, just! There is a camping area behind the dunes/beach, but only a few large spots and the rest are small. You can camp on the beach itself but be mindful of soft sand. No facilities at all, so fully self contained is required Tides come up really high so think about where you set-up

Free Camp at Three Mile Pool, Western Australia

Three Mile Pool, Western Australia – Image by Michael Lennon Thanks to Michael Lennon for sending in his photo. He said, “We camped along the Ashburton River where there are numerous sites on the river’s edge from which to choose.  Unfortunately, as we wanted to continue north before it became too hot, we only stayed overnight.  Next time we will definitely stay longer.” Three Mile Pool is the only legal site for camping, unlike what may be listed on other camping apps. In addition, you are only permitted to camp on the town side of the causeway at Three Mile

Ngumban Cliff Lookout
Camping

It’s Ngumban, not Ngumpan!

Ngumban Cliff Lookout Image Courtesy Sheng Yee Camps Australia Wide Ngumban Cliff Lookout should be how WA site 682 in Camps 10 is written. RV traveller, Michael Lennon has advised us that unlike the Hema version, WA main roads spell it with a ‘b’. Please update your CAMPS 10 book.  Add this site to your list if you want to be in the ‘middle of nowhere’ admiring sunset on the ranges. About an hour from Fitzroy Crossing you’ll find this camp area, looking over a huge gorge and the Mueller Ranges. Park on the hill, near the edge.  Facilities wise,
