“An absolute gem and worth departing from the Princess Highway. The camping area is adjacent to the town oval with plenty of space and nearby flush toilets with hand soap, playground, and garbage bins. The Corella birds can be a little noisy in the arvo, but it only adds to the appeal, so does the gurgling creek …”

“Peaceful, little spot, easy access, playground, tennis, and oval right beside. General store open until 6pm with lots of goodies.”

We thought the town was lovely too, although we didn’t get to the pub this time around. The general store was beautifully equipped, and this would be a great place to stop. William Loftus Park is also very handy for travelling the New South Wales south coast on a budget, as it is a donation camp. Here’s more free and budget campsites on this route.
