It’s the last day of summer! Just a few days ago we were swimming in the Bass Strait and the Tasman Sea. Heatley was compared to “The Hoff” with his Baywatch-like runs we shared on our socials. You really had to be quick and wet – BEFORE you changed your mind. Yes, it was chilly – but both of us Queenslanders agreed it was worth every gasp and shiver. Here’s Heatley at Bicheno.
But when it came to their waterfalls, we admired them and stayed dry!
We had the most amazing trip. Although previous owners of CAMPS and our team member Leisa have thoroughly kept camp sites up to date there – it was top of the bucket list for us. The beauty of Tasmania is overwhelming.
Read on for my 21 travel tips for Tasmania, 20+ waterfall camps and 6 waterfall trails you can drive and even walk across in four different states and territories. You can get up close to three more waterfall camps! Including a free pet friendly roadside camp in New South Wales, a national park in the NT and a 4WD accessible haven in Queensland!
It was touch and go whether we made it home due to floods. But now we are back at it – and our jeans and parka are back in the cupboard. Tasmania, we will return!
