During the last two years we have travelled over 79,000 kilometres and have noticed that many small towns are creating some great community-run camp spots. These are included in our new edition. Please support them by spending a dollar or two in the community for by doing so we can ensure that there continues to be more options available for travellers to choose from as we explore this great country.
Camping facilities at each site are depicted by symbols, including not only the standard ones for toilets, showers, power etc, but also those applicable to mobile homes, camper trailers and RVs, such as big rigs, maximum stay allowed, dump points, pets allowed, fees applicable etc.
Maintaining the user-friendly format, Camps 7 has more descriptive icons such as: close to road; pleasant outlook or vista; mobile phone coverage; dry weather access. All sites now have a GPS co-ordinates, and site access details have been expanded.
There is an alphabetical index of all site names and an index of all highway routes in each State or Territory. The book is broken up into States or Territories, each colour-coded for easy navigation.

It includes addresses and GPS co-ordinates, as well as symbols to show suitability for cassettes, holding tanks, (and whether a fee is applicable), together with accessibility for big rigs.
One aspect that has proved popular and beneficial is the ability to update the book on a regular basis using our update service, this is a free service. Changes to information will undoubtedly occur, especially over time after the book's release, so it's a good idea to go to the website and check the updates before each trip. Introducing the Caravan Parks Australia Wide 2nd edition released June 2011
In our travels throughout Australia we have recognised the need for an additional reference tool, a comprehensive easy to read Caravan Park guide, one that aims to list all Caravan and Tourist parks in Australia.
A must have for the caravan, motorhome and campervan traveller, the guide book includes 2320 caravan and tourist parks, all with informative colour symbols indicating what facilities are available at each park. In Camps 6 we only list caravan parks that are under $24.00 per night, in this publication all price ranges have been included from budget to luxury 5 star caravan parks.
We have also included a symbol for onsite cabins for those of you who choose a cabin as their preferred holiday accommodation.
To make finding a park easier the book includes the Hema road maps and we have placed a numbered caravan symbol on the map to indicate a park location, it is easy to simply run your finger along the route of your choice and stop at a convenient distance and place according to your needs.
Each state has an index of parks at the beginning of the listing. A key map begins each state and territory which are defined with a different colour, this format is based on the successful Camps Australia Wide layout.
We hope that you find this book a helpful caravanning travel guide and that you enjoy the many holiday parks, whether beachside or bush.
