Welcome to Camps Australia Wide
Camps 4...
The Ultimate Guide for The Budget Conscious Traveller - clearly established as the Traveller’s Bible.
Camps Australia Wide 4 is a comprehensive travel guide to the best camping spots, rest areas, caravan and tourist holiday parks throughout Australia. This is a great guide for motorhomers, caravanners and also very useful for visitor’s to Australia who are travelling by rental campervan or motor home.
After the runaway success of three editions, Camps Australia Wide has produced its fourth edition, better than ever, with more camp sites, caravan parks, and tourist holiday parks around Australia. The guide is similar to an accommodation directory with camping / caravan sites, and tourist park listings and informative symbols representing the site features such as holiday parks with disabled access, caravan parks with a pool, camping grounds in national parks or near beaches, etc.
This edition of Camps Australia Wide is A4 size with 368 colour pages, 3,165 listings, and is produced on superior quality paper, in a paperback version and for longlivety a spiral bound version. It has been planned to provide information that is comprehensive in a user-friendly format. The guide lists rest areas, campgrounds, low-cost caravan parks, National Parks and State Forests.
Also published in our 4th edition is our new “Mega B4 Camps 4” which in addition to a location description includes over 1800 photos to assist the travellers in planning their stay based on a visual aspect. It enables you to see what camp sites are like in advance and determine if the camp facilities and location are suitable for your particular needs, eg access, spaciousness, environment and aesthetic appeal, all of which goes towards a more enjoyable and comfortable site for the night.
Camps Australia Wide 4 includes a complete copy of the latest Hema Road Atlas, with the campsites positioned in their exact locations on the maps.
Camping facilities at each site are depicted by symbols, including not only the standard ones for toilets, showers, power etc, but also those applicable to mobile homes and RVs, such as big rigs, maximum stay allowed, dump points, pets allowed, fees applicable etc.
Maintaining the user-friendly format, Camps 4 has more descriptive icons such as: close to road; pleasant outlook or vista; mobile phone coverage; dry weather access and author recommended sites. There are more GPS co-ordinates, and site access details have been expanded.
There is an alphabetical index of all site names and an index of all highway routes in each State or Territory. The book is broken up into States or Territories, each colour-coded for easy navigation.
Included in this edition is a list of over 600 dump point locations to encourage environmental disposal of waste water. It includes addresses and contact phone numbers, as well as symbols to show suitability for cassettes, holding tanks, use for non-guests (and whether a fee is applicable), together with accessibility for big rigs.
One aspect that has proved popular and beneficial is the ability to update the book by accessing the web site and this free service will continue with Camps 4. Once people found they did not need a computer or any computer experience to do this, but only needed to visit an Internet Café or Library and ask for help, the initial barrier disappeared and they are able to keep abreast of any changes as they travel.
Being able to plan a trip with stopovers that are free or low cost, knowing if a pet is welcome and seeing at a glance what facilities are available, has proven to be a hit with travellers across Australia.
Caravan Parks Australia Wide..
Introducing the first edition of Caravan Parks Australia Wide.
In our travels throughout Australia we have recognised the need for an additional reference tool, a comprehensive easy to read Caravan Park guide, one that aims to list all Caravan and Tourist parks in Australia, in a simple colour format designed to make choosing where to stay an easier decision.
A must have for the caravan, motorhome and campervan traveller, the guide book includes over 2300 caravan and tourist parks, all with informative colour symbols indicating what facilities are available at each park. In camps4 we only list caravan parks that are under $20.00 per night, in this new publication all price ranges have been included from budget to luxury 5 star caravan parks.
We have also included a symbol for onsite cabins for those of you who choose a cabin as their preferred holiday accommodation.
To make finding a park easier the book includes the latest Hema Road Atlas and we have placed a caravan symbol on the map to indicate a park location, it is easy to simply run your finger along the route of your choice and stop at a convenient distance and place according to your needs.
The index lists all city’s and towns with a Caravan or Tourist holiday park, a key map will begin each state and territory which are defined with a different colour, this format is based on the successful Camps Australia Wide layout.
We hope that you find this book a helpful caravanning travel guide and that you enjoy the many holiday parks, whether beachside or bush.
