When I used to work around Texas (last century!), there was a great little town that was on my schedule. If you are leaving on a trip or coming home via the Cunningham Highway there is an excellent camp area in the little town of Yelarbon that we recommend. It’s between Warwick and Goondiwindi so is a good distance for us for a day’s run from Brisbane or the Sunshine and Gold Coast regions. Yelarbon Recreation Ground is away from the highway with lovely grounds. Walk through the gate to the unpowered sites – there is a whole oval to choose
