It’s been a big week for us! SOOO good to be back on the road again, even just for a quick weekender! The new deck at Theebine Hotel is huge and we were lucky to be among the first to dance on it. Pubs and camping are a fun combination – so we’ve filled the newsletter with them. Most of these camps are free and all are pet friendly. We take you to an awesome NT camp close to Berry Springs and the Territory Wildlife Park, a WA tavern just over an hour from Perth, a riverside pub near the NSW
There’s two sites to choose from at our newest free camp listing in Western Australia. This country pub stay with its welcoming atmosphere is only 10 km off the highway – is the Jennacubbine Tavern. Friendly owners Michelle and Brett offer free camping with plenty of room and level sites, they also leave access open to the toilets. Hearty pub meals are served Thursday – Saturday and Sunday lunches, with pizza and steak nights popular. You can also camp at the hall, across the road. For just $10 per night, they provide toilets, showers and power is available to boil
Theebine Hotel owner, Jackson If you haven’t been to Theebine, then you should! Update: We were back again, last weekend for the opening of the new deck at Theebine Hotel. What a night, and I slept like a baby in the van. Check out the photos on our socials! We visited last September, met the publican, some CAMPS fans (thanks Jeanette and friends) and said hi to the local councillor, Cr Dolly Jensen and had a lovely relaxed lunch! Update: Great news – the bar and cafe are now open – order a pub feed when you are there! We drove past Toompine last winter, south of Quilpie, and checked that the hotel was still closed.
