Burekup & Dardanup – 2 new free camps in WA

Burekup Hall Oval Image Courtesy Michael & Maureen Lennon There are two new free camps to add to your travels in Western Australia, around 20 minutes east of Bunbury in the Dardanup Shire. We’re happy to announce the re-opening of Burekup Hall (pronounced burra-cup) beside Gardiner Reserve. The site had been closed earlier this year by council, pending community consultation and feedback on its future. It re-opened recently and recreational Vehicles can camp within the designated bays of the RV Parking Area for a maximum of 24 hours within any six (6) consecutive days. A limit of 3 vehicles are

Campground at Freycinet Paintball, Tasmania

If you’re travelling Tassie our newest listing is a great little find! Owners, Beck and Scally welcome everyone and all vehicles from tents and caravans to big rigs and well behaved pets! The campground is located on the same site as Freycinet Paintball (so you can have some fun while you’re there). The campground offers large grassy sites, there’s plenty of room to camp in the field or under shady wattles beyond the main campsite with views of Moulting Lagoon. You can enjoy the licensed bar opened in the evenings with TV, BBQ and firepit to share some stories

Free Stopover: Alwyn Francis Bridge, Queensland

Just south of Kingaroy, we’d recommend a shady, quiet campground – and beside the Stuart River (we’ve heard there may not be much water in it at the moment though). Alwyn Francis Bridge at Taabinga, has toilets, picnic tables, mobile phone coverage and is pet friendly. There is plenty of room for big rigs. Note the time limit of 20 hours. Update your listing for Norseman RV Park, Western Australia

WA Site 38 (in Camps 10) – Norseman Recreation Reserve is CLOSED. It has been replaced by an RV area adjacent to the Recreation Reserve on the corner of Richardson and Mildura Streets with access from Mildura Street. After an overhaul two years in the making, Queens Grove Caravan Village is a great find only 12 km from Perth. With very reasonable rates, the park is now host to multiple paved powered sites, and brand new amenities which are spotlessly clean. Much of the Village has new lawn, as well as disabled facilities, dump point and is pet-friendly.
