On the Murray at Murtho Forest Landing

Located 10 minutes from Paringa, this camping spot offers shade and great camping on the banks of the Murray River. There is a beautiful lookout close by and also a lot of decent fishing spots along the banks where campers are known to catch Callop, Carp, Yabbies and Golden Perch. If you go walk about you will most likely see a variety of wildlife such as pelicans, wrens, kangaroos and rosellas. Forges Beach – Victoria Vic Parks have recently made some big changes to the camping options along the Murray River, consolidating many state forest, wildlife reserves, conservation areas and town commons under the umbrella of the National Parks system. This has cleared up a lot of confusion about who controls what, where to book and where to find the info you need to plan your trip.
