However, after horrific fires across QLD and NSW, it is time to put out a plea to all our readers to please follow fire regulations wherever you are in Australia. Firies were working around the clock due to an abandoned campfire near Red Canyon, Teewah Beach. Although much of the Cooloola Recreation Area remains closed, camping is available at Freshwater Camping Area and Inskip Point (QLD sites 211 and 213 in Camps 10 or find them on our App).
