We come across travellers and their stories every day. When Peter Warden (pictured on the left of this image with his friends) sent us this email about the camps app, we just had to share. I downloaded alternative apps…… and then I renewed my camps membership and paid the 10 bucks …. Why? You do a bloody good job with your app and the POI and the book. I used you for 12-13 years and think you are important in the past, and now, and for the caravan community. Others jumped on your success, but you are the right guys

Big Toms Beach offers free camping and it is a Regional Park in Victoria – and many more are waterside, without strict time limits READER QUESTION Thank you so very much this app and updates are fantastic you provide a great product for those wanting to travel this exciting country of ours. The only thing I find hard is getting free camps that you can stay for a while while saving for fuel for the next leg of the journey it’s hard on little money . But thanks so much I’m exploring the site to get my trip sorted. John

Just want to let you know that I absolutely love the new look to the app.
Apps can be incredibly handy as you travel Francois Peron National Park, WA by Overland Exposure A customer from the UK asked us what apps people travel with in Australia. Here’s our and our CAMPS Ambassadors’ recommendations… 1. Camps Australia Wide Not only does it have free and budget campsites, caravan parks, dump points and tourist information centres – fuel prices are updated every 20 minutes and you can see where to top up or replace gas bottles. Opt to display petrol stations as you travel (or not) also. You can create trips and record favourite sites. It links you
Clifton Showgrounds, Queensland Camps Australia Wide were probably the first ones to list showground camps! We love them, too! They are generally cheap, pet friendly and spacious BUT they have facilities. They’re a great place to start if you want to try different types of camping, because you still have the comforts of toilets, showers etc AND they are generally fenced, with a caretaker, or close to- if not in – town. Please check your filters when you search for them. Delete the other filters, and choose the showground symbol (see screenshot below). Or look for the yellow symbol on
You may have heard that Wikicamps has been purchased by GDay Parks. We want to reassure you, we remain an Australian, independent and family owned business. Camps Australia Wide has been the most trusted source of caravan park and camping information for over 20 years, and with your ongoing support, we plan to keep it that way. Come on board, join the community – let’s make this the Camps Australia Wide App the Number 1 camping app in Australia. In case you aren’t on Facebook, here’s what Heatley said on his Facebook Live video: I just wanted to touch base
