Here are 10 essential things to bring on your Easter holidays!
We’ve nudged this last newsletter of the year a little early so you can finish your Christmas shopping. You still have time to gift the campers in your life, a present that keeps on giving. A Travel Pack, Camps 10 or Caravan Parks 5 book is ideal and has years of adventures lying in wait for them! Now we also offer our brand new, hot-off-the-press, Camps Australia Wide Community Cookbook, too! But don’t delay. Order today (or by Monday December 16th at the the latest if you are on the Eastern seaboard) so the parcel arrives for Christmas. Please note
Right Click (or click and hold on mobile devices) and select “Save As” to save it to your device. Please find an updated section of Map 36 for your CAMPS 10 books, we are sorry for any inconvenience. Please note for some reason there were duplicate sites in the yellow section. On this version they have been removed and the correct sites added in. For the other sites in this area see the maps on page 6 and page 12 (their co-ordinates in the listing will give these map pages). If you can print to the correct size you can replace
“What benefit is there to have the books when all that can be downloaded for offline content?” We received this great question the other day from Gina, who has the latest Camps Australia Wide App. Here’s our answer, we hope it helps you out before you head out on your next adventure… It is definitely a personal choice. I like having the flexibility of both when we hit the road. For me, even though I LOVE our App and all the features of camps+, nothing beats a paper map to follow when I travel. Although you can download maps
We’ve found a few new campsites lately! Don’t worry, we’ll be sure to spread the word on our blogs in coming months and add into the App. Oh my goodness, word of mouth must be working because we are selling double the number of Apps now. Thanks for the great reviews on how easy it is to use. The new CAMPS 10 and CARAVAN PARKS 5 book sales are also keeping us hopping. We stopped in to an ARB Accessories Open Day at Maroochydoore, on the Sunshine Coast last week, and saw some very appealing rigs. It makes me look
Well Ex-Cyclone Oma left one happy group on the East Coast – surfers! We stayed at Burleigh Heads last weekend, and EVERYONE was on the headland, with picnics and beverages, mesmerised by the surfers and the bravery of the jet ski riders, delivering them into the swell. This week, we announce new POIs are out! We feature a budget camp and interview a Mayor in Tassie, who assures us – freedom camping will remain in their region. People are continuing to download the App and enjoy it. There will be further improvements re offline maps later this week for you.
The latest Hema maps are a little different to those Hema maps used in previous editions. The new maps has been cut differently with a much larger scale so that “busier” areas are less concentrated, and camp areas can be more spread out and less cluttered. If you see a page where there are few camps – you will notice a grey box dotted border with map numbers beside. They will refer to a better scaled map and this is where the campsites are listed. Hema has done the mapping and we have plotted the sites so it easier for
Just got off the phone from another very happy camper. He told me his wife would be delighted we have changed the cover for the Easy to Read version. It is lighter than CAMPS 9, and easier if you hold it on your lap, like I do when we travel. The extra 59 maps means that they are larger in scale (some pages are full of maps to refer to, with no camps, so the campsites aren’t all on top of each other in the pages). We are glad Hema did, because with the extra 950 sites, it was a
Neranie Head Campground Myall Lakes National Park is NSW site 109 in Camps 10 It’s here, the much anticipated CAMPS 10 is shipping out of the warehouse to homes across Australia, from today! Our preorders were so popular – it was unprecedented. With 950 new sites added since CAMPS 9, the latest Hema maps and a new look – it is no wonder. The cover on the CAMPS 10 is now a double fold out cover (with a map of Australia inside), still durable but much easier and lighter to hold. All CAMPS 10 books have the spiral bound now.
