School holiday fun is time to go camping and check out the wildlife!
Lately we’ve encountered a possum, bandicoot, roos, wallabies around our camp – and driven past echidnas and wombats.
But a real highlight for me was seeing Major Mitchell Cockatoos in the wild for our first time. We were out near the remote Culgoa National Park in NSW. What a thrill! And it wasn’t the only bird we admired – check out the funny below.
Now it is Spring break – here’s some tips for locations our wildlife love over the school holiday!Â
These muscly, furry critters are so cute! Here’s where we and our CAMPS travellers go to spot wombats in the wild…
NSW’s Yuraygir National Park has AWESOME camping – the locals love Red Cliff too! Make sure you book ahead for school holiday periods…
Go on a native wildlife tour, by night, to see what you can see the Childers Nature Camp, QLD…
Our family were mesmerised by Southern Right Whales at the Head of Bight on the Nullarbor..
Around Darwin, NT you can hold crocs, eat crocs, see them jump OR check them out on a Kakadu cruise or two!
