CAMPS Ambassador, Manda said “Albany Region in WA seems to like you pushing yourself and your limits to walk at heights!
The Gap and Granite Sky Walk are both 20-30minutes out of Albany.
The Granite Sky Walk is not for the faint hearted, it is a 2km hike which is a constant climb, then a huge boulder manoeuvre, a ladder and then walking on a platform on the edge of the granite boulder.
The Gap (at Torndirrup National Park) is not as difficult, even wheelchair/pram friendly.”
“When you come to places like this, you realise just how small you are in the world.
It definitely takes a bit to walk out to the end of the platform when the ocean is crashing against the cliff walls beneath you, but such an awesome view of another spectacular land formation.
You can also get a great view of the coastline in the area and a natural bridge.”

Where did Manda and Dan camp?
“We just love finding the quiet waterfront campsites! This one is at Panorama Caravan Park, Albany. Another quiet, super friendly family run park, with amazing view of the bay and Albany lights at night! Only $40/night for a power and water water view site, basic amenities and fires allowed (in the right season), a private jetty for pelican watching and fishing and close to the National Park for a day trip. Definitely recommend this one.
