Nestled by the banks of the Murray River, sits pretty Punyelroo Caravan Park. Located less than 2 hours from Adelaide and 5 km downstream from Swan Reach it is SA site 185 in Caravan Parks 5 or find it on the Camps Australia Wide App.
It’s a tranquil destination with idyllic views and a wealth of peaceful silence. The sun rises over the cliffs directly in front of the park, making the water sparkle. Sip your morning coffee metres from the waters edge watching the birdlife awaken and in the evening, witness the changing colours as the sun sets.
The park has both powered and unpowered sites, cabins of course, a playground for the children, large lawned areas and picnic tables right beside the river. Water lovers will appreciate the boat ramp for water skiing, jet skiing, boating, fishing, swimming and canoeing. Well behaved dogs are welcome and campfires are permitted in season. There’s a laundry, kiosk for fuel, ice, gas etc. unpowered sites are $26. Check out their lovely images below and you can find more on Instagram.
