Pioneer Bridges is a spacious waterside free camp, conveniently close to wineries, with beautiful stands of trees.Â
Pull into this lovely campground and you can choose from a waterside spot near the bridge, to a spot in a shady grove. There is plenty of room.Â
In summer, I’d be cooling off with a swim under the bridge. Its the perfect spot to launch a kayak from.
Any season, just pull up a chair and watch the Ovens River go by!Â
There are toilets, as well as a firepit, lots of shade and pretty views. There’s good mobile signal, picnic table and it’s a popular fishing and swimming spot. Dogs welcome.
Located near Everton, Victoria you are close to Milawa and other wine regions. As well as cellar doors, you’ll find the local produce is also worth sampling!
I thought this was a beautiful free camp – we highly recommend!
Since we visited, there has been flooding in this region but it has recovered well.
