Please Note: you need to be online in order to recommend a new site.

Tap on the + Sign  icon found at the bottom right of the navigation page to access the administration menu.

Tap on Suggest a New Site –

First choose Site Type from the first drop down menu and select Done in the top right once you have confirmed your selection. Then Choose State or Territory from the second Drop down menu and press Done in the top right to complete. Last Tap Site Name to enter a site name for your suggested site. Please try to use the “official” title for the site if possible, if not please list a colloquial name to help us confirm the details of the site. Tap Next in the top right or at the bottom of the menu to proceed.

You can then select the sites location by tapping Use Current Location to navigate the GPS to your current location, you can also navigate to the location by using the map view to drop a pin in your preferred location. Tap Next in the top right or at the bottom of the menu to proceed.

Next you can add a description note for relevant info about how to access the site, road or access descriptions etc. Tap Next in the top right or at the bottom of the menu to proceed.

Next you can add contact details including Phone number, Email address or website info.  Tap Next in the top right or at the bottom of the menu to proceed.

Next you can suggest a the price range for the site,  Tap Next in the top right or at the bottom of the menu to proceed.

Next you can select from the full list of site symbols to let us know the relevant information about the site, this included what types of vehicles are suitable for the site, Site facilities and amenities, Pet friendly status, Time limits as well as all other site specific information like swimming, fishing, Wifi, phone coverage etc.  Tap Next in the top right or at the bottom of the menu to proceed.

Next you can upload a photo for the site. Tap Upload photo from the menu and choose to either add a photo from your existing photo library or open your camera to take a new photo for the site. Please note you will need to allow Camps app access to your photo’s and Camera for this functionality to operate correctly. Select Submit in the top right corner or Submit New Site at the bottom of the screen to complete the submission process.

** Please note, all new site submissions are moderated by our staff before they are accepted into the Camps App. Camps Australia verifies the status of all suggested sites with the relevant stakeholders before they are accepted into our database. This is to ensure travellers are not camping illegally on either private or public lands and are safe to stay. This process usually takes 24-72 hours depending on how accurate the submissions information is.
