With only a week until Melbourne Cup, this newsletter is all about awesome camps and locations and horses! Starting with a ‘red tick’ camp at Newstead Racecourse. Located near Castlemaine, Victoria, it was only $10 per site per couple. It has EXCELLENT showers, BBQ shelter, large grounds, dump point AND ash pit. Lightning Ridge Caravan Park has new managers, NSW

Just a heads up for all campers! The Crocodile Caravan Park at Lightning Ridge, NSW is now being managed by the Lighting Ridge Bowls Club Committee. The updated contact details with phone, email and website are live in the Camps App. All check-ins are now to be made at the Wallangulla Motel, 22 Morilla St, Lighting Ridge. New Caravan Park in Longreach

This new Caravan Park in Longreach, The Muddy Duck, is nestled by the Thomson River. The park is 5 km from the main street of Longreach and just off the Landsborough Highway. There’s 15 acres of land along the river where you can kayak, explore the river or cool off with a swim. There’s a modern camp kitchen with BBQ, potable water, laundry and hot showers.
