
Petal Point – free camp at this remote Tassie Getaway
Photo credit No Boundaries Petal Point is a primitive camp situated high on an escarpment looking north across Bass Strait. Situated in the less travelled north east corner of Tasmania, we loved it because of its remoteness and panoramic views. At Petal Point, you need to be fully self-contained, take all your supplies in and take any evidence of your stay out. We settled in to the silence easily – only interruption was the ocean waves, sea breezes and the Mozart we belted out around the campfire at sunset – a luxury afforded because we were the only camping residents
