The CampmobileYou won’t miss us! Our 4WD is now recognisably branded with CAMPS AUSTRALIA WIDE. If you see us out and about, please say hello. We will be carrying stock as well, so you can compare the books and view the new cookbook.

A big shout out to Leanne from Flowering Design and Jared form Trademark Signs in Gympie for our vibrant new look on the Hilux. Also a big thanks to new Gympie councillor, Bruce Devereaux – who, when he was travelling with our books, suggested the phrase to us: “Find your perfect spot”.

As we’ve been chatting in the “I Love Camping Australia Wide” Facebook Group (which has over 10,000 members now!), it doesn’t matter if you are only into free camping, or you prefer the comforts of well appointed caravan parks – or something in between. That is what we do – we cover it all, and we are planning to stay at all types of stops over the next few weeks – because YAY, we are on our #postcovid road trip!

We’re travelling from southern Queensland, starting in the Darling Downs and Goondiwindi area, to Cloncurry and Townsville via Carnarvon Gorge and as many farms and stations as we can, especially in drought affected areas! You’ll see us at showgrounds, national parks, caravan parks, pub parking and freedom camps – plus we are even trying two nights of glamping!

You can follow our trip on our Facebook page, interact with our live videos and tell us some of your favourite places, too! Plus we’ll have even more ‘insider tips’ in the Facebook Group and highlights on Instagram. Of course, if you aren’t into social media – you can look forward to more yarns from our road trip in upcoming newsletters.

With more state borders opening, so many people are launching off, we thought it timely to include some words on trip planning. Great advice below by a fellow traveller. We check out the new showground caravan park, right in Adelaide, a free
