Epic in winter or whenever, we tackled the Darling River Run Roadtrip this time last year and loved it!

Although the “DRR” spans from Walgett to Wentworth in New South Wales, there is just too much for one newsletter, so here is part 1!

The Back o’Bourke attraction is a highlight, too – don’t miss it!

In the meantime, we’re still in the WA Kimberley, and heading east again. Keep an eye on our socials for the latest!

How many days … What side trips? All the FAQs are answered – here’s the best trip planning tips for your Darling River Run adventure…

We were so impressed with this country town, we doubled our stay to two nights! Camped at Alex Trevallion Park – a top freedom camp where we cooked up scones, chatted with other travellers by the “pond”…

We loved both these Darling River Run camps …

Check out these two camping options near the start of the DRR – beautiful Rossmore Station and Mays Bend, a free camp just out of Bourke!

Brewarrina, New South Wales has ancient fish traps and awesome camping like 4 Mile Campground, Brewarrina Boat Ramp, Beds on Barwon and Brewarrina Caravan and Camping Park…
