Create your travel wishlist for 2023

Cunninghams Gap, Main Range National Park, QLD

Making a travel wishlist is STEP 3 of our new year reset and travel goals. If you missed them, here are our first two steps to trip planning.

Creating a wishlist is the fun part! Here’s ours – in NSW – the Darling River Run, Menindee Lakes and Mungo National Park. I have started plans on a National Park circuit in Queensland and we’d like to explore sites along the Murray River and the Victorian High Country. Plus I would love to visit my brother and his family working in the Pilbara, Western Australia. We’ve only seen a fraction of that red country. Perhaps this is the year?

Where do you keep your wishlist?

My wishlist is a folder of brochures of places I’m keen on. You could use a folder or list in your computer, your notes in your phone or tablet, a notice board, whiteboard, notes under fridge magnets, pins in a pinterest board – anything! But this is how I keep track of places to visit soon.

How do you find places to add to your wishlist?

This is easy! Just follow the CAMPS AUSTRALIA WIDE Instagram feed, Tiks on our Tik Tok page, Pinterest pins, Facebook posts or traveller’s tips and photos on I Love Camping Australia Wide Facebook Group. If you love travel like me, you’ll be chatting to other travellers for great destinations, reading newspapers or magazines and stopping in a information centres. Info centres often stock pamphlets from far and wide. They are a great place to not just find out about local areas, but other places to explore.

As well as a travel wishlist, I have a bucket list – like Horizontal Falls on the Kimberley Coast, Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre with water, and the Three Capes Walk in Tassie. You just never know! Bucket list beauties can be a location, an event, a town, a campground, a route….Australia’s your oyster! Here’s some of our bucket list worthy destinations in our blog!

It doesn’t matter how you classify or store it. You may prefer to travel without a wishlist, and just go with the flow! Let us know what’s on your list or where you are planning to visit in 2023?
