Camps Australia Wide recognised as No. 1 most influential product in caravanning!

Heatley enjoyed a double feature in Brisbane – watching Queensland beat NSW at State of Origin, then following up the boy’s night with a boy’s day at the QLD Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow. He brought home a few RV brochures AND the latest copy of the Roam magazine.  We ‘d like to give Owner and Editor, Brendan Batty a huge thank you for listing Camps Australia Wide as No. 1 most influential product in caravanning! “In 20 years of publication, Camps Australia Wide has potentially been the most influential product in caravanning and camping, because it took the hard

Traveller’s Review: Foreshore Caravan Park, Nambucca Heads

Image Nev Cooper Nev and Alicia Cooper and their dog often stay at the Foreshore Caravan Park at Nambucca Heads, on the northern NSW coast. Please note in your CARAVAN PARKS 5 books NSW site 379, that the park IS pet friendly, there is a BBQ, but not a camp kitchen, and add in WiFi, dump point and drive through sites.  Just south of Coffs Harbour, the Nambucca coastline and river is a beautiful part of the world. Nev told us, “To give this park a plug, it is a small basic park close to shops with friendly owners,  is close

Camps Australia Wide - Denham Caravan Park

New ownership at Denham Seaside Caravan Park, Western Australia

Denham Seaside is the most westerly Caravan Park in Australia, where you can watch the country’s last sunset from your RV. We stayed at this caravan park a few years back, and they were kind enough to accommodate us in their overflow area during the busy WA school holidays.  It was a great base to explore beautiful Shark Bay attractions, stromatolites at Hamelin Pool, Shell Beach and feed dolphins at Monkey Mia. And much more. The new owners since 2018, Clive and Margaret Johnson, Rhys and Hayley Johnson, Aimee and Scott Wilson, also also run Mandalay Resort at Busselton, WA. Manager Colleen Chambers

CAMPS is my bible - Chris Murray - Dapto NSW

“CAMPS is my bible”

We love to hear from fellow travellers. Thanks Chris for this glowing testimonial: “CAMPS is my bible” It’s forever sitting on my lap when we travel. We were on the road for 19 years, and 4-5 months each year on the road. We speak to everybody and it always comes up. You talk to any other traveller, they’ll tell you it’s their bible, too.  It’s a wonderful book, it lets you know know where you can stop next. We show it to many people, and they say they’ve got to get one, too. We’ve had so many – we pass

Camps Australia Wide - Take me back to my Caravan
Camping Tips

Take me back to my caravan

Housework. Piles of washing. Mess. Groceries. One computer smouldering and one phone line down (our CAMPS line survived the storm). Then the ultimate – dealing with Telstra. Oh, take me back to last weekend, we scrambled three nights and managed to have our entire crew, and some of their mates, together.  If you are planning to stay around Southport or Main Beach, join the Surf Club. Main Beach Surf Club was across the road from the Main Beach Tourist Park – and it won me with their $18 member’s only steak, which included a standard drink at the bar. Times

Tried and tested: Main Beach Tourist Park

Last weekend we realised our caravan plus the tow A-frame is closer to 24 foot, not 23. When you visit Main Beach Caravan Park, if yours is a similar length, ask for a longer site.  Just a moderate sized park in-between Southport and Surfers Paradise, QLD, the staff were welcoming, and facilities CLEAN! Our new site was situated perfectly between the amenities and the pool.  The caravan park is directly opposite the beach. Our main drawcard. The kids were back and forth a few times a day for a surf or a paddle. We had our Jayco Starcraft Outback, plus
