NEW owners for Trinity Islands Holiday Park, Burrum, Queensland

Welcome Dan and Nora! Congratulations to Dan and Nora Gleeson, new owners of Trinity Islands Holiday Park! Travelling with the CAMPS guides from way back, they’ve found a special corner of Australia to call their own. Plus they are sharing it with all of us! “Dan and I travelled around Australia with the kids (now adults) navigating from the back seat with Camps 4. Mary and George would check what services were available at different sites in our Camps 4 Book, Dan would ask if the region’s industry seemed likely to have suitable work,” Nora said. Amazing Travelling Experiences They

Crossing the Nullarbor – our adventure from Western Australia into South Australia

On the end of our Big Lap, on limited time, we traversed The Nullarbor in two days. Kids were due back at school, we had businesses to run but were so keen to experience this famed road trip. We left Esperance and the beauty of Cape Le Grand National Park, through Grass Patch and the heart of Mallee Country. The Nullarbor Plain begins in Norseman, Western Australia – we saw camels here, which was pretty cool. “The Nullarbor” is an 1100km route. Here’s where we stopped: Balladonia was a lunch stop with a pretty multicoloured picket fenced playground. Oh, we were so

Kerrie and Brian have opened up their 17 acre property at Buxton, near Childers for camping. Budget priced and pet friendly: Doonvilla RV Park, Maryborough, Queensland

Maryborough, on the Fraser Coast of Queensland, really gets the thumbs up from us when it comes to free and budget camping options. Doonvilla RV Park is run by the Doon Villa Football Club Inc. Next to Maryborough Airport, Qld. Don’t worry – we couldn’t even hear the planes when we were there, the larger airport is in nearby Hervey Bay. It is great to be helping a local club for children! Here’s one of the comments from our Facebook page: “And all of the players are thankful to everyone who stays! You’re helping plenty of kids get outside and active

Happy Easter Camping!

Every day is an adventure with CAMPS – even a soccer trip to Hervey Bay, QLD gave Heatley and I an opportunity to explore some sites around Gootchie (pictured), Bauple and Tiaro, just off the Bruce Highway. This week I’ve been lucky enough to visit my mum in Coolangatta. Although the office is here with me too – it was so good to wake up to a blue sky and I’ve been posting some of my walks and sites on our Facebook page. Including the muddy floodwaters of the Tweed reaching the Pacific Ocean – it was fascinating to see,
