How does happy hour all week long sound?
Beautiful Southport on the Gold Coast, is the location for the Caravan Club Rally for QLD and New South Wales, February 19- 25 February in 2024.
I know that might seem like a long way ahead, but there is an awful lot of organisation that occurs for one of these, thanks to CCQ and the friendly Roustabouts Club. Broadwater Tourist Park has kindly given CCQ a ‘reservation block out’ period where the public cannot get bookings, ceasing June 2023.
Rally organisers have earmarked 200 van sites. There are a range of powered sites – waterfront, ensuite, premium, slab and grass sites, with cabins also available. However, the park does not allow pets.
The plan is for two premier events – laugh at Dracula’s Cabaret, a three course dinner and show and Saturday night at Australia Outback Spectacular will be wonderful!
Then lots of time for shopping, touring, theme parks and dining! As well as retail fun opposite in Southport and Australia Fair, it is just a quick drive north for bargain outlet shopping at Harbour Town. Take the monorail south to Broadbeach and Surfers – or Pacific Fair. Broadbeach and Main Beach have delicious options for meals, too!
Plus join in with line dancing on the waterfront, coffee breaks, morning swims plus walks and bike rides. We love the walk along The Spit and stopping at Main Beach Surf Club.
Other must-dos include a Meet & Greet appetizer and traditional spit roast on the beach reserve in front of the Tourist Park – BYO table, chairs and drinks, a complimentary pancake breakfast put on by the tourist park and happy hours, also overlooking the beach.
