Swim into the last month of summer with these camps

We’re just back from Wee Waa in western NSW and we didn’t think we’d be dipping in a hot bore bath! Although temps were soaring for the weekend, we dutifully (haha) tested out Pilliga Bore Baths – now open for swimming and camping! Heatley decided it was nowhere near as hot as the Lightning Ridge spa, so it was the first hot mineral springs he enjoyed! Are they your ‘cup of tea’? I love them all, the hotter – the better. But it was great to cool down with their shower after. Council wanted us to mention, the nearest dump

Engine Point in Lincoln National Park on the Eyre Peninsula, SA
Beaches & Coasts

Swim, fish and camp at Engine Point, Lincoln National Park, South Australia

Our CAMPS Ambassadors Daniel and Manda recently visited Lincoln National Park in the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia. This means the CAMPS App has heaps of up to date info about the different camping options! They said the water was much warmer here – compared to other SA beaches. I wonder why? But with the beautiful hues, clear and shallow ocean, why wouldn’t you be content with Boston Bay right at your front door! It is Australia’s largest natural harbour.  It is 4WD only, no facilities, with limited sites – but note there isn’t a lot of shade, but often wind!

Scotts Head Reflections Holiday Parks in New South Wales
Camping

Camp and swim at Scotts Head, New South Wales

I first visited Scotts Head as a kid! I remember the huge picnic area and beautiful beach for big family gatherings. Next up, as a teen with my cousin from Macksville, to soak up the sun. But I haven’t been back, judging by my sister’s recent visit – I’ll have to! She shared photos of Scotts Head Reflections Holiday Parks. A great caravan park for families, it is just a few steps to the beach, and pet friendly during off peak times… As well as regular amenities – they have easy access cabins, huge enclosed camp kitchen, school holiday activities and
