Hema Maps release their 4WD Austraila App

This app features over 70 of Hema's 4WD maps. Using your GPS in your iPhone or iPad you can quickly pinpoint your location and track your route using the moving map display.

We (Cathryn & Philip of Camps) have just completed a trip on the Birdsville, Oodnadatta tracks & Great Central rd, the mapping was excellent on the Ipad.

You can add other maps to the Ipad via the Digital MapsShop via the App. 

New RV Rest Stop at Golden Beach (VIC) -22 November 2011

The new RV stop at Golden Beach (36 km SE of Sale) provides RV travellers with a 48hr stop and up tp 72hrs stay time by appointment, all right in the centre of town adjacent to all facilities.

Travellers using the Rest Stop have free access to the internet, there are clean toilets, fresh water and sealed surface area for vehicle and use of the Community Halls lounge rest room with TV and reading materials. This site is supervised 8.am to 12.30 noon daily.

Showers and shops within 100m of the rest stop. A small community fee of $8.00 per vehcile per day applies.

Berrima River Camping Reserve -4th November 2011

Wingecarribee Shire Council reopen Camping reserve at Berrima. Add to Camps 6 as NSW 546a, GPS is 34 29 09s 150 19 57e.  There are restrictions that the council have applied, notices are at the camping area , booking phone 1300 125 944

The hotel now provides a Camp area for Rv'er , toilet and shower facilities are available for a small fee or its free if you buy a meal in the Hotel.
